Well here is some information that I have found in my search for repair. Once pulling the chain out of the transfer case It measured out at 1.25" wide, .5" pitch, 31 links or (62 pitches), with round pins, this how ever didn't match with the parts listed for this t-case (A340H in a 95' 4runner V6 auto) very vague, no listing for specific tranny or t-case combos just year grouping. Also, pulled the chain out of the VF1A t-case this measured 1.25" wide, .4375" or (7/16") pitch, 37 links or 74 pitches, and rocker pins.
Anyway I discovered that there was a New Process chain that had the exact same specs, this chain was also in stock at the local gear and drive line shop. $80 for the new process chain compared to the $500 Toyota chain. Installed it, fit great runs and drives great. listed be low are the Toyota parts in read and the NP stuff in green (NOT OEM).
