I have an LCE Header with 2 1/4" piping, cat delete and a Dynomax Super Turbo. I'm happy with it, a noticeable difference in power, especially the mid-range.
For headers I'd stick with either LCE or Thorley, everything else is going to give you headaches.

I was wondering something about the 22RE header, what happens to that pipe that's plugged between the header's exhaust pipes ? Sorry for lack of better wording it seems to 'recirculate exhaust gases?'

With the LCE kit it remains as so:

I ran it open header for a couple weeks and noticed quite an increase in power, especially in the mid range. After I put the Super Turbo on it was tamed down a bit but it's a bit noticeable, nothing drastic though. Holds gears a bit better now going up hill. I did the whole exhaust as my whole system minus the manifold was leaking so yeah...
Sound was something else. Open header it sounded like a Cummins diesel, no joke. It was awesome, and loud haha. It's quieter now but has a good deal of drone on the highway (no cat or resonator), sounds like it did open header, just quieter. Fuel economy, not much change. Maybe 1-2 MPG. I've since switched gears and tires though.
The kit itself was top notch, and the welds were good quality.
