Antilock brakes

I have a 95 forerunner with rear antilock brakes. I need to replace the vacuum power assist (booster) and the price difference between the non-antilock and antilock is substancial. Wondering if I have to use the antilock booster if I do not care if the rear antilock brakes work. Is this acceptable or dangerous?

Not acceptable to me. Maybe you could find a used one to replace the bad one with? I would save my money and get the riight one. Or like I said maybe a used one.

^^^ I agree completely. Some things are just not worth tinkering with. I doubt it will work anyway without doing away with some ABS equipment... and possibly some brake line swapping
