No Power on Fuel Pump!

Here's the deal, drove into my friend's garage, changed my seats in my truck WE DID SOME ARC WELDING.... (I had removed the negative terminal from the batt. prior to doing the WELDING)

So now the seats are all in the truck everything went fine and I'm ready to PULL OUT... the truck cranks endlessly no start.

Troubleshooting in oRDER...(Not necessarily the best but its logical) :
1. So I thought my pump was dead, pulled it out of the tank, tested it separately and it works fine, put it back in the tank.
2. Checked voltage on the power line going to the pump... NO POWER when the IGN switch is on.
3. I got a different CIRCUIT OPENING RELAY from a used parts and it seems to be fine and the truck does not start.
4. Checked for sparks, we have sparks
5. Checked ALL FUSES on the truck ALL are fine, EFI relay is fine.
6. I plugged the pump had it running separately from the ignition on the battery directly, and cranked the truck, no start.

Can anyone help me?

I'm pretty far down the line just can't see what's left.

Thanks

ToyPick,

My suggestion would be to crank the rig over with the cold start injector removed and see if it shoots any fuel out. If it does not then you would have a problem with the cold start circuit.

I read the manual on that and was wondering, wouldn't the engine still start after many cranks even though this injector doesn't work?

UPDATE : The fuel pump has power only when STARTING (That I didn't know because with the old relay I could hear it when it was in 'ON' position...)

I did a spark test, I get sparks still. And so for fun I just put some gas in one of the spark plugs and it attempted to fire..., I then applied 12V to an injector and it also attempted to fire.

I'm confused... All my fuses and stuff SEEM to be alright, aswell as relays...as of what I know, SPARKS are generated from the ECU, and doing a DIAGNOSTIC TEST in 'ON POSITION' (SHorting E1 and TE1) gives me a regular flash (2 flashes per second) so everything seems operational.

So now, gas gets to the front bay, sparks, it cranks, but no voltage is delivered to the injectors... anyone have a CLUE ?

ToyPick,

It might not start depending on how cold it is. I would still look into the cold start system first. The cold start system is a choke and it adds more gas than normal.

My gas pump hoses were on backwards, and no gas was getting anywhere, so initially my problem was the 'COR' and since i had removed the pump to test it, I put it back in wrong!

oh well now all works for a lousy 10$ for the COR
