A number of issues...

Hey all,

So my 90' Runner has been acting up lately, I need some advice of a few things. First off and most notably, sometimes I am not able to shift gears. The clutch was replaced about 20,000 km ago and when I try to shift it's like there is no gear there.. no grinding or any strange sounds, just solid resistance. I have to release the clutch and re-engage it sometimes up to three times before it goes into gear. I read somewhere that it could be the clutch bracket, clutch adjustment (re-tighten) or something more serious.

My second woe is a very odd 'clacking' noise from the front right tire, it doesn't go away and it happens relative to my speed. It has been ongoing for a month or so as I haven't had time to look at any of these problems. At first I thought it might just be a piece of rock inside my drum or something but I figure it should've dislodged by now or broken into pieces.

The last and most minor issue is my emergency brake, it's super weak and I need to adjust it. I know this problem is an easy 10 minute fix, but I was wondering if anyone could tell me exactly where it's located to save me a bit of time.

For the record it's a 90' 22RE 5-spd manual.

For the clutch, start with the basics. Have you checked the fluid level in the clutch MC?

For the front end noise, have you pulled the wheel off to check for problems?

For the parking brake, first make sure the rear shoes are adjusted properly, then there is an adjustment for the cable for the brake lever. It's underneath the truck, pass side.
