4 Runner New B

I just purchased a 1991 4Runner 4x4 V6 Automatic that I will be bringing back to life.

It is overall in good condition.

My first question, coming off of owning a Jeep YJ is:

Does the front drive on this vehicle have any kind of limited slip or posi or is it the old, once a front wheel leaves the ground, all front traction goes too ?

Thanks in advance for all the 4Runner knowledge I am sure to gain from being a member of the forum.

Dean

Welcome to TN.

The front and rear are open, but there are plenty of lockers and LSDs available on the aftermarket.

Hello,

I am a toyota guy. I have a 92 4 runner 4x4 just rebuilt the motor. just to let you know if you ever have to take the rap around exhaust off have a sawlsaw handy. the back botz freeze up. anyways my step dad gave me a 87 jeep limited edition. Its in need or repairs. My plan is to restore to a point and lift But my question is this. The vehicle idles but soon after I put it in gear it dies. I can accelerate in park that's what wired. I did a compression test they all test about 125 - 130 for compression. any ideas

Thanks
