Fuel economy in a 95 4 Runner Automatic????

I seen an ad last night saying:

Quote:
THANK YOU FOR LOOKING AT MY TOYOTA , this is a nice reliable suv , it has a a V6 engine which runs excellent , automatic transmission, nice tires on alloy wheels , power windows power locks , new cd player with detachable faceplate and remote controller , open-able rear window powered , chrome bumpers, clean title , nice green metallic exterior and tan interior , it has 190k miles , all maintenance is done and the vehicle has been inspected by a mechanic.
Everything sounds good about the truck...but I'm a bit concerned about the mileage. I'm generally looking for something that's under 150,000 miles. I want to be able to get at least another 100,000 trouble-free miles from my next vehicle.

I'm not talking about just the engine and tranny, but other parts as well. Sensors, gauges, etc.

Question: How many highway miles do you get on a tank of gas in a 95? How many miles is too much for a 4 Runner? What should I look for?

I am torn between a 4runner and a Nissan Maxima. I need more space, but at the same time I want to make sure I'm not buying a gas guzzler LOL. I don't drive much during the week but maybe 10 miles 3-5 times a week. But I travel once a month and my roadtrips are generally 400-800 miles apart (don't do the math because I bought my Camry in Nov 2007 with 133,000 miles and finished off last July with 233,000 miles...)

Also..I know most all older cars have A/C issues at some point. The 1995 Camry was the first Camry to use R134. Do 95 4Runners also use R134 or Freon?

I have a 91 Runner, with 175k on the clock, and I get 16mpg. It's a 17 gallon tank, I'll let you do the math. It's got the same motor in it, and I believe the same gear ratios in the transmission.
As far as getting 100k miles without any trouble, everything breaks. No matter what you drive, something will eventually break.
To answer your other question, unless I'm mistaken, all manufacturers switched to 134a refrigerant in '95.
