oil dipstick and filler tube

I just bought a 1994 Toyota 4Runner. A couple of days later I went to check the oil and the filler tube fell off (I don't think it was ever secured). The dipstick showed way too much oil was in the engine when I pulled it out so I am wanting to drain it and change the oil as soon as possible. Does anyone know where the filler tube is located and how I should secure it on? I also need to know if you have the dimensions on it because I question if it is even the correct one. I have looked all around and don't see where it could fit. It is a V6 engine. Thanks.

Oil filler tube???????????

Your oil dipstick tube goes in the side of your block right below your motor mount. It isnt a filler tube though, you add oil through the drivers side valve cover. Your oil dip stick tube should have a bracket atached to it and it bolt to the front of the drivers side head. To help it stay in its block hole you need to replace the 10 cent " O " ring at the bottom of the tube

Sorry, I meant dipstick tube, not filler tube. I have looked all over and I can't seem to find where the bracket can reach to bolt on anywhere.

Dip stick

Here are some pics of mine, not real easy to see but the first one is my 88 Runner and the last 2 are my 95 Runner. in the last pic you can see the bracket going towards the front of the left head. I hope this helps even with it being so hard to see it will show you where they sit when bolted up. Good luck.

I tried to post the pics but cant fiure out how. If you send me an email adress I will send them to you
