2nd Generation Rear window stuck down

Hi,

The rear window of my 2nd generation SSR-X is stuck down and wont budge.

I lowered it to get the jumper leads out of the back to give my mates car a jolt, left it down during the jolt and after the window would not go back up.

I can hear a clicking sound when i press the button down, but no noise when I press it up. Have already taken the rear panel off to investigate and see no movement at all.

Would do you reckon, motor? wiring? regulator?

Have you been having issues with the window before?
First I'd check the rear wiper arm. I know it sounds silly, but I tore half of that circuit apart on my rig. And then I thought to see if the wiper arm was fully up. It wasn't, and now the window works fine. Then fuses, maybe one blew from the jump? And of course switches. Regulators don't generally just suddenly fail in my experience, but, anythings possible.
Hope that helps.
Best of luck!

Yes, there's an interlock to prevent the window from moving when the wiper is on.
If it's not properly parked, the window control module thinks it's operating.
A simple thing but frequently overlooked.

Have traced the fault back to a faulty switch, replaced the switch and all systems are go.

Thanks for the replies.

Mine does this all the time, I have to drive for awhile and then it starts working again. Which switch did you replace?
