Changing CLUTCH need some advice
Hi guys, TOYOTA PICKUP 1991 4cyl. 2WD
So most of the work is pretty much done, removed the old flywheel and changed the crank seal.
So my questions are these : I inserted the NEW rear crankshaft seal, fits really tightly and is quite hard to insert perfectly flush to the housing.
So I heated the housing a little, and then proceeded in inserting it the best I Could. Once it was mostly in I used a rubber hammer and small wood piece to help it squeeze it in tightly, the only thing that bothers me is that even though it looks quite snug and straight theres a TINY little section of it that isnt PERFECTLY flush but is quite tight... how PERFECT does it have to be?
Second question : My flywheel has a couple of little marks, but nothing extremely bad, I want to complete the job tomorrow, no machine shops are open and I'm not expecting to keep the truck for more than a year or maybe 2, do you guys think its really that bad to leave the flywheel as is, with a new clutch and pressure plate, new bearings, new rear seal I mean it should be in rather good shape anyways right?
Thanks guys!
