Clutch issue: Won't start with pedal to the floor

The clutch pedal has been making a noise on the release for a few weeks. I didn't think anything of it, I figured it was the water on my shoes. Now it makes a slight pop on the press and a fainter noise on the release.

Yesterday I couldn't get her started in the morning with the clutch pressed to the floor. I had to use the clutch start cancel button to get her started. Later that day she started up fine. Now all today (four times) she would not start with the clutch to the floor. I had to use the clutch start cancel button to get her going.

Here is the weird part. There is no clutch fluid leaking. The clutch reservoir is still full. The car engages in gears quickly and easily. The clutch only has ~70k miles on it (the original went 190k). The pedal always comes right back up. No lag or lack of pressure.

Any ideas on the subject?

Check/test the clutch start safety switch at the top of the clutch pedal.

Bingo! Thanks man.

So it turns out the pedal doesn't hit the switch when the pedal is pushed to the floor. For a temp fix I rubberanded a pad of duck tap so that the pedal pushes the switch in when fully pressed.

Getting the bar the switch is on to move seems like a pain in the butt. And the switch is out as far as it goes.

Your welcome.
Some clutch pedals have a pad on the safety switch contact surface. If there was, and its missing, that could explain why the switch is not being depressed.
