94 toyota 4runner 4wd 3.0 coolant leak

I have a older guy that lives by me that owns a 94 4runner it has 256,000 miles on it. He asked me to look at his truck because it was leaking coolant. The thing is it only leaks at night when it has been sitting. I checked it out and yes there is coolant on the ground. I refilled it with water and let it run for about 30 min. No leaks never over heated, I turned it off and still no leaks. I checked it a hour later still no leaks. I put a new cap on it and refilled it with anti freeze. Hoping that would do it. Well he never drove it and then this morning anti freeze all over the ground. I cannot tell where it is coming from for sure. I thin it's on the drivers side but not sure. the radiator was replace 100,00 miles ago lol and now a new cap. the water pump has never been replaced, the hoses look ok. he is a poor old man so I hate to start just changing out parts. Please help a young man help a old man lol

I would recommend using a UV dye to find the leak. The only problem with that is, it's not free. A kit with special UV light is $50 online. Maybe there's a garage around that give free estimates? At least he know's how much he's getting into.

Lots of things can leak. Have you removed the front splash shield and looked up at the engine? Water pump sounds suspect. Overheating that engine results in major repairs.
