driveshafts interchangeable?

I was wondering if the driveshafts are interchangeable between a 1997 2WD and a 1994 2WD. Both are powered by V6's.

Auto or manual?
Long bed, short bed, xtra cab?
2 piece or 1 piece drive shafts?

A few facts may help someone answer your question.

its a 4 runner.. there isnt any long bed, extra cab.
its a auto and a 1 piece shaft. Ill answer my own question. the 97 driveshaft is about 1 1/2" longer. so its not interchangeable. but it does bolt up to the rearend and it uses the same output yoke.
