2nd Generation Interior dash,heater,Gearbox lights

I just Bought my 4 runner like monday and i love it but I have no dash lights for nite time driving. 1993 3.0 v6 automatic. Rebuilt motor and tranny with 12000 miles on her,

I am stumped here as what to do next.

checked all fuses and we are good there.

checked dimmer switch many times still nothing when i turn knob.

there is no stereo in my 4runner so good there.

Previous owner Had installed a trailer hitch so i looked under the body and found where he head spliced into the back lights. Wow is all i can say...he did a terriable job....so i proceded to undo that mess and removed trailer wires. I then rechecked my Dimmer knob and still Nothing,
I thought about buying a used dimmer switch on ebay not sure it this is a good idea.
So there you have it......ANY IDEA'S WHAT TO DO NEXT???

Thank you for those who contribute answers or ideas.

Paul

Take the red/black-stripe wire from the dimmer control and connect it to a good clean ground.
If the lights light, could be the dimmer or the ground to the dimmer.

Of course you have to turn the headlights ON first.

Lightbulb Fixed it

Turns out it was the dimmer switch....went to junk yard and got one put it in and it worked....So it was the switch.

No Interior Lights but all the Fuses look good THEN IT IS THE SWITCH. GO TO THE JUNK YARD AND GET A REPLACEMENT FROM A JUNKER CAR....
