Emergency Turn Signal Flasher Location

Hi and thanks for your intrest.

I have 1991 Toyota 4x4 pickup with extended cab; 3.0 L V6 engine. I would like to know where to locate the Emergency/ Turn Signal Light Flasher unit. Where is the flasher located. According to the auto parts store the flasher operates both the emergency lights and turn signal.

PS: Problem I am having is when I turn on headlights the turn indicator on right side stays lit. When I use the turn signal for a right turn (with headlights on) the tail lights and license plate lights flash on and off with the turn signal on the right front.

Thanks-- Mike

In this case, the parts store is correct.
One flasher unit works both systems, but there are separate fuses for each. So if either works the flasher is good.
It's located above the fuse panel behind the drivers kick panel. Usually its a green, looks like a relay.
As for your problem, i'd suspect wiring, especially if you have added trailer light wiring.
