Wow. This thread has 3 times the posts in the last three days then it did for the first 4 years. The blower resistor was burnt out in my 1989 when I got it but I thought the switch was bad as it had medium and high, not just high like when they usually burn out. I already had the dash apart from putting my stereo and gauges in so I pulled it andsure enough it was pretty crispy. I got one from NAPA for $35 and it works fine so far. The blower motor resistor on my 1997 Nissan Altima went out (boy do I have bad luck or what?) and on that one the resistor is actually a circuit board, not the coil of resistor windings like on the truck.
