Hilux sunroof issue resolved satisfactorily
I suspected the sunroof itself was seized through long inactivity (no use over Autumn/Winter and dirt/rubbish built up in the guide channel - I have spent most of my day just unseizing it with a spray lubricant (CRC 556) and in combination with physical strength and the motor, I have managed to open it fully, clean it out and regrease it and close it up. While the action is not as smooth operating as it was last summer, it does work with encouragement. So with constant use and more attention, I may yet be able to salvage it completely.
