3rd Generation P0130*3 o2 sensor...grr.

I recently bought a 2000 4runner which has been pretty awesome but the other day the CEL came on. I took it to Autozone and they hooked up a sensor which came back with a P0130 and a P0133. The tech said it was the bank 1 sensor 1 o2 sensor and recommended replacing it. I got the part...the problem is I can't seem to find it to replace it. The tech said it was on the drivers side but the 2 sensors I can find are on the passengers side along the exhaust pipe...help?

Nails,

Bank 1 sensor 1 should be your forward sensor on your exhaust pipe. The book shows it on the drivers side but if yours is on the passenger side change the fwd one.

Thanks for the reply jet!
The part that they sold me wouldn't fit in the first bank but there is another further down the exhaust (approximately under the passenger side second seat) that was pretty trashed so I just swapped it out with the one I got. The tech made it seem like there are four o2 sensors on the vehicle but I can only find the two...am I missing something?

Nails,

Not that I'm aware of. But you still need to change the front one.
I also forgot to mention that the only sensor to buy would be a denso OEM. They are the most reliable. They cost just a little bit more but worth the money. Don't get the universal one they are not worth the time or money. On those you need to cut wires and I would rather just hook up a connector. Plus the connector is OEM. Stay away from cutting.

Do you have a part number or anything for the front sensor? I'm going to have to order it and I want to make sure I order the right part.

Nails,

On Rock auto http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/raframecatalog.php. The part number for the upstream Denso OEM is 2344161. The cost is $65.79 U.S. Hope this helps.

Ebay sells OEM Denso O2 sensors, too. Need actual part numbers, though.
