'98 Power Steering Hoses $$$$

I have replaced Power Steering hoses before, Why are these so so expensive?

Seems that aftermarket companies skip over this generation 4 Runner.

Did toyota ever make a None Power Rack for this vehicle? I'm willing todo a one-time swap out of the rack rather then pay over $500 in hoses.

TonyH,

Check a junkyard for some used ones first.

Thanks jetwhine... did it and the Junkie had a few Juicey looking Hoses . The job looks tough, very tight at the Rack, so I didn't want to swap out bad hoses with bad hoses.

Any secrets or 'Order of disassembly ' to get at these hoses at the Rack? I have much mechanical experience. it's just that I can see the fittings, I have Flare nut Tools I just can't see how to get a wrench on these babies.

TonyH,

Maybe drop one end of the rack down to gain access to the lines.
