Airbag replacement

so i bought this beater 4runner.Its been in a wreck.the driverside airbag in the wheel blew.I fixed the damage,and bought a used airbag out of the same year 4runner,But im kinda scared to hook it up.the arbag light is on,and ive been driving it like that but do you think it will reset or blow if i hook it up?Anyone been here before? conjecture...speculation? Speak up!I live in Oregon,dont need inspection so no hurry,but I wanna here what you think on this one...Thanks...

unhook the negitive battery cable. then install the airbag, make sure nobody is near the new airbag then hook up the battery cable. then from the pass. side turn the key on. then ur going to need to clear the code frome the srs computer. good luck installing a USED airbag.. lol

Well, the rig had 260k and is a beater with a lift and 35's.the airbag is the right part and a new one would be the same,but a lot more than the $50 i paid for this one.Imagine that clearing the code is a simple matter of connecting T1&B2 on the diagnostic port and turning key on for 6 seconds then alernating ground between the two and ending on B2, right?
