Considering Dash Kit for '97 4Runner-need input.......
The wood grain on the 4Runner I am restoring is shot. In fact the laquer finish is peeling off in places and there are 'gaps' of bear wood and then the wood with the laquer finish still intack. Because there is a noticable drop off in the surface level from the laquer/wood to the wood only surfaces in places, I was wondering if there will be a problem in applying the dash kit trim over it? anyone who has had the experience of adding a dash trim kit to their 1997 4Runner and/or can recommend a good source, I am all ears.
