4runner steroe harness ???'s

im trying to put in my sony cd/mp3/blahblahblah out of my tacoma. i bought a harness made by metra for the truck. now i pull everything out today and was going to plug everything together and the plugs are different. the taco was an 01, the 4runners a 00.

go to best buy and they say they have a harness. its the same one i aleardy have though. they show an alternate but they say they can only order it online and proceed to offer no further help.

anyone have any ideas where i can find the harness i need? its got a 20 pin connector for the stock stereo if that helps....

Do they say that it is a 20 pin connector? If not that would be a waste of time. You might try Sony Corp. they might be able to help. Or try a local Stereo shop. Or even Radio Shake if you have one close by. Or even an Electronics shop and might be able to get the connectors and build it yourself.

Did you disconnect the wire harness from the external amp?
