Canada rear window going down at start up

HI Guys

My problem started two weeks ago. I cannot open doors with my remount control, I have to use a key to open door, and door locks don’t work too. If I start an engine, rear window goes down, if I push rear window switch on instrument panel to close it up and hold it, window stays closed. If I let switch go window going down itself again. But with working engine side windows and central lock work. Any input greatly appreciated.
Hopefully my writing is understandable, English my second language.
regards

Kuku,

You could try disconnecting the negative battery cable for about 1 minute to try to reset system. Like rebooting your computer. Its worth a try.

Kuku,

You might have a problem with the Back Door ECU. The signal from your key goes to the Back Door ECU then the Back Door ECU sends a signal to the Body ECU so the body ECU can open the doors. The Back Door ECU also controls the window operation. So there might be something wrong with the Back Door ECU. The Back Door ECU is located under the back door panel. Behind and to the left of the license plate as you are looking from the back of the car.

Update
Engine is not working
I can open driver or passenger or rear door only with a key.
When I start up a motor
rear window rolls down, if I try to roll it up, it rolls down as soon I release a switch, but when shift into drive I can close or open rear window with no problem, all windows and central lock work. Any ideas??
regards

kuku,

Go to a junkyard or look on Craigslist or Ebay and see if you can find a Back Door ECU. Replace it and see if that fixes it. If not then it is back to troubleshooting or take it to a Dealer and let them fix it. It does sound like there is something wrong with the locking system.

What do you think, if i will disconnect all switches one by one in a car to pinpoint a problem, which switch doesn't work . Or disconnect back window power off for time being untill i got ECU to replays . AM I going to damage electrical system in my car doing so ???.

regards

kuku,

I don't think that will cause any damage, although you might have malfunction lights on that you could disregard if it were to happen. Just try disconnecting the module at the back door first and see if issue stops.

Today i disconnected back door window power off, for some reason i checked fuse box under the hood, MPX-B (number #4) fuse responsible for back window, back door lock, back window wiper, power door lock control system, back door window defogger, theft deterrent system, was burnt. I replaced fuse but it was burnt again.

Kuku,

Now you need to get a supply of fueses and start disconnecting things until you don't blow the fuee anymore. I think you need to start with the rear door.

sounds like you have a wire touching metal, causing the fuse to burn.

Hey Kuku just a thought... It's sorta common on these trucks for the wire loom that goes from the rear hatch to the body to get broken wires in them. You might peel back the plastic covering and see if the problem is in there.
