Spark Plugs

Found this DIY http://www.4runners.org/writeups/sparkplugs/ and thought I'd share ...... With that said ... what's the brand and number of the "preferred" spark plug for a 2002 limited 4Runner - stock ......

Either NGK or Denso dual pronged plugs are best for your 4Runner. Any other plugs will make your Runner run like crap.

For the 5VZ-FE the Denso made is K16TR11, NGK made is BKR5EKB-11. I like the Denso's.

Looks like Amazon is the winner here but you also have to look at what "type" of plug you are getting /// traditional, platinum , double platinum etc ...... .......

Toyota use DENSO as first production in factory, on aftermarket can be found many other producers of parts. Denso is main i think, if i choose. Designation on Toyota is 90919-xxxxx Denso has own designation XyyXXyy

I used NGK Iridium IX part number BKR5EIX-11 the ones in their before where cheap crap autolites that are $1.18 each...

NGK / Denso Platinum are factory. The Iridium plugs are the best available and cost like twice as much.
