2007 taillight replacement help needed!

Help!

I had to replace my passenger-side taillight due to an "incident" with a parking lot post. I ordered a new assembly and have just tried to hook it up and here's my issue:

The turn signal and reverse lights don't work in the new assembly. The LED brake lights work, so I know there's power going to it and the connections appear fine. Also the drivers side is working just fine.

I tried reconnecting the old (still working, though cracked) taillight, and it has now developed the same issue! 5 mins prior it had been fine!

I have double-checked all my connection points, the bulbs, and the fuse, to no avail.

Please help with any suggestions!

Thanks!!!!

The only thing i could suggest is check youve earthed the assembly via external wire to bolt hole in the frame. Also ensure the common earth wire inside the light is connected to all three light globe earths. Failing that plug the working light into the problem side to rule out the connector and wiring. let us know if this makes a difference. I had a bad earth with similar symptoms which resulted in wierd light operations . I found out that my taillights were working only when indicating ...ie the tailights were earthing back through indicator circut wiring . hope this helps sounds like an earth problem.also check for rust around the earth lug and clean up

Thanks for responding -- I messed around with it yesterday and figured out the problem -- a simple (read: stupid) one!

The center connection point wasn't fully rotated into position so wasn't providing a connection to the reverse and turn signal lights.

I guess I was being a little too cautious about putting enough pressure on it.
