Dual Zone AC Not Working on Drivers Side

I have a 2006 Limited 4 Runner with V8 Engine

the car is equiped with an automatic dual zone heating/cooling system. No matter if i have the dual zone temperatures selected or off I still have the same problems. All of a sudden the driver side vents stopped working properly. The fan works fine, but there is no cold air coming out (in fact it is hot air). The passenger side vents work fine (the air is cold). The automatic temperature sensors seem to be working fine, if the inside temperature is close to the desired temperature set on the ac the fans go on a lower speed. If there is a large differential in temperature the fans go to full speed.

Any ideas on what may be wrong?

Seems like on the driver side, the air is only circulating around the heat exchanger and not the a/c. Just think back how old cars use to work, there was a "slider" that you select from cold to hot air. If you select it to hot, the air passes thru the heater core. If you select cold, it passes thru the fresh air or the a/c core. So, in your case, the "slider" is not automatically channeling the air thru the a/c core; it's channeling it thru the heat exchanger core.

Ok thanks for the quick response, sounds like it might be the driver side air mix servo motor. Wonder what that costs to get fixed?
