2003 4Runner door lock problem (computer?)
When the doors are locked either by shifting into gear or by the rocker switch on the arm rest on my 2003 V8 4Runner, the driver’s door will not unlock or open when pulling on the handle that is supposed to open the door. To open the door, it has to be unlocked with the rocker switch. The problem is only with the driver’s door. The door locks and unlocks properly with the remote control. I’m assuming that the problem is a computer that needs to be reset rather than a mechanical problem since the door will open when pulling on the handle after the door is locked manually with the little lock switch above the door handle. If that sounds correct, can someone give the sequence of steps to reset the computer? Thank you.
