Hi... I have a 2003 Toyota 4Runner, 6cly...4 wheel drive...My husband is new to DIY car repair..but with the help of the Haynes Repair Manual has done his first front brake job and oil change...he is a quick learner and we have a question about how to do this next task.
I recently took my truck for a tire rotation and balance and the place said that one tire in the back was a little worn more than the other...and that when my husband does the back brakes to check and see that the SLIDES?? ( caliper slides) that they are not binding/sticking....????
They said it doesn't necessarily mean you need a new caliper but that it may just need to be greased if its just sticking ....Is this something that is easy to check? And how does he check this?
Any info you all could give us would be greatly appreciated
Thanks,
Nicole&David
