What kind of problems will I run into if I go from the load levler shocks on my 2005 4 runner sport to a standard gas shock, can anyone help ? Thanks

If you have a Sport Edition you probably have the X-REAS. This is a subject I have been talking about on another thread.

There are several options, including keeping the old springs, and installing KYB GR2 (OEM like) or the Bilstein 5100s (heavy duty).

Or, you can buy an FJ Suspension system and change the springs and shocks out. Many owners of 4Runners have done this.

Do a search. When you check other sites like shockwarehouse, tirerack, etc., choose the non-X-Reas option to see what is available. They will bolt in.

Good luck!

There are no sensors connected to the X-REAS. It will not affect brakes, VSC., etc.

I am sure you have noticed many 4Runners with a lift.

Again, google this - much has been written.
