code C1336

how can i fix the VSC / TRAC OFF, lamp in instrumental panel? They stay on while driving. My scanner can erase that code of C 1336, but as i start moving the vehicle, the lamps go on.

artwall,

That code relates to a crankshaft position sensor signal. It you have a check engine light come it disables the VSC and Trac system. Until you get that sensor fixed the VSC and the TRAC system will be inop. So whenever you have a check engine light come on that is what you will see. Even though you cancel the check engine light the fault still exists and the VSC/ TRAC light will come back on. That is a sure way to tell that something is wrong.

Thats right, the "maint" bulb stays on while engine running. But there is no code stored in memory. So could the problem be the crankshaft sensor ?

artwall,

I believe it would relate to the crankshaft position sensor system. When that is fixed then you should not have the VSC/Trac light on any longer.
