Looking to buy 2003 Limited V6

I am thinking of trading my 2010 HL 4-cyl for a 2003 4runner Limited V6 loaded. The 4runner has 112k miles and the stealership is asking 13,800. What should I pay? It is Magnetic Gray and is in excellent condition. Any major warning signs I should try to notice before I purchase? Thanks

4 runners hold there value pretty good. My wife has an 05 sport se v6. I would try to negotiate on the price a little. I would say things to look for is regular maintenance at that mileage. as in when was timing belt changed, brakes changed, suspension, transmission fluid) Most probably has been done if it is being sold by dealer. Other than that, these suv's and v6 engines are solid and should last well past 200k.

The 4.0 V6 has a timing chain so no need to check if it was replaced.

Common major bad spots-
Frozen front brake calipers
Leaking T-case (expensive to fix)
Leaking Moonroof
Cracked CV boots

Thanks a lot for the replies. This one is a 2wd so I don't have to worry about a leaking transfer case. I'll be sure to closely inspect all fluids, suspension, brakes, and exhaust along with engine/transmission noises and steering feedback. Any other advice is welcome.

UPDATE: Bought it tonight. Paid 9800 flat. I love it so far and the only thing I've noticed is the sunroof rattles. Any ideas as to why and if that would be an easy adjustment, I can push up on the actual glass a little bit. Thanks.

Highlander10,

Now you need to change that handle to 4runner10! The loose sun roof might just be a seal replacement.

FYI, I love Toyotanation.com but the 4runner section is deader than a door nail.
Go here for a very active 4R fourm.
