I have a 2003 4 wheel drive 4 Runner. I noticed in the maitenance schedule book is says to re-torque the propeller shaft bolt quite frequently. I have a repair manual and do not see anything in it that says to do that or any torque spec for it. What is this actually referring to? It it a critical thing to do? I assume it is on the front driveshaft somewhere. What would the torque spec be?

NathanS,

The procedure is to check the torque on the attach bolts that hold the driveshafts on. I just check to make sure they are tight. Could not find any torque specs on it.
