Touch Up Paint Question - 2008 4Runner
I have a black 2008 4Runner. I got a few decent size scratches in one of my quarter panels. I purchased the OEM touch up paint. My primary question is do I need to purchase a clear coat touch up in addition to the paint?
I was told by a local paint expert, that many dealerships use in the Denver area, that there is no clear coat on my '08 4Runner. Does that sound correct?
Also, if I am going to repaint those scratches, do I need to find a week period where there is very little chance of rain? Could that mess up my work? Finally, is there a tape that I can put around the scratch and if touch up paint got anywhere but the scratch, how would I remove the excess? I appreciate any help.
