Keyless Entry Module Location - Toyota Nation Forum : Toyota Car and Truck Forums

I've got a question about the keyless entry on my newly acquired '05 4Runner SR-5 (previously the wife's). She got an '05 Sequoia out of the deal. The keyless entry was working perfectly, then I let the wife drive once again while a did a tire swap on her 'Yota. When I tried to unlock the doors the next day and the keyless didn't work. I've tried both fobs and neither one works, and I know the batteries are good. Any ideas on what I should check and where is the keyless entry module on these vehicles. Any help is greatly appreciated. I also tried the button called "search" with no avail of info about this I could find.

VicHammer,

It looks like you might mean the door control receiver. And looking from the back door foreward it appears that it is in the left hand piller of the back door frame. I have never pulled one out but it looks like it is about 6 - 12 inches above the left hand tail light assy inside of the car. Hope this helps.

Located on rear left side behind the deck side trim cover upper side.
