Interior fan control and a/c control light upposed to be lit?

I just bought a '05 4 Runner SR. I noticed today, at night, that the interior controls for the fan and AC controls were dark. The 3rd control knob was lit however.

Are these air control knobs and A/C knobs supposed to illuminate at night? or not? It looks like they should as the white lettering seems like they "should" light up at night?

Anyone?

They should light up. Probably burned out.

Thank Yuko for the great pic..even if from Google..do you know if I can fix it myself or I need to go to dealer? I still have bumper-to-bumper on it..but if it's something quick I'd just rather do it myself.

Nowadays replacing a bad bulb in the inst cluster can be a major deal, the IP (instrument panel) is so integrated into the CAN trying to DIY could create problems. Usually not but you never know.
If it's under warranty make the dealer do it.
