I've looked in many many places and have asked multiple dealers, but I cant seem to find a supercharged for this application. Any ideas?

05toyo4runner,

It might not be available for the 05. Have you looked into a turbocharger?

Yea I have, the thing about the turbo charger is that it's a bigger bitch to install. I don't think I wanna pay the extra cash to have it installed either. I usually do all the work on my own car. Much better suited for me. I may jus have to pay the extra cash or jus install it myself at some point.

I thought that the 1GR-FE engine was only 4.0L v6. I have a 4.7L v8

If I were you I would find one that is built for that particular motor that way your hookups will not be an issue.

Air Pump...

It seems the main issue with fitting the TRD supercharger to the '05 4.7 is related to the electric air pump that was added that year for emissions. It sits right between the cylinder heads and is plumbed to the exhaust to add air to the exhaust gasses to help complete combustion for emissions.
The thing takes up to much room in the "V" for the supercharger.
An adventurous grease monkey might try removing the air pump and making some custom shorty headers without air ports, but I don't know what that would do to the fuel system settings as the O2 sensors would get different readings upstream from the converters, and that re-programming stuff is above my pay-grade.
I totally wish I could put the TRD supercharger on my '05 Runner as well.
Maybe I'll get a rebuilt '04 motor with the supercharger to drop in.

That is why you need to find one that was made for that particular application.
