ohiois350,

The only thing that I can think of is you may have to disconnect your negative battery cable to try to reset
the system. Those 2 lights come on when there is a problem with the check engine system. I'm thinking that the problem is fixed but the system needs to be reset so the code in the memory is earased, which would require the cable removed for about a minute and reconnected or using a obdII code reader to reset the system.

Please let me know if you get the lights off and how you did it. I'm looking to buy an 03 but it had the lights on and it kinda made me wonder.

Took the 4Runner I'm about to purchase to the dealer about the lights and this is what their report said...

63615 COMPLETED INSPECTION FOUND CODE FOR ZERO POINT CALIBRATION UNDONE. COMPLETED RE SETTING ZERO POINT CALIBRATION AND LIGHT WENT OFF.

I guess the last tech to connect to the computer to clear out a light also accidentally wiped out the calibration settings for the traction control sensors.

Hey Guys
Driving home yesterday and VSC TRAC, VSC OFF, and ABS lights come on on my 04' 4Runner (V8). Then, 5 minutes later, they go off. So, I ignore it. Today, at gas station, tried to restart after fill up. Started right up but same dash lights were on. Then, couldn't get the tranny out of park (and yes, foot was on brake). Turned off everything, restarted a couple times, and finally these warning lights went off and it slipped right into DRIVE.

Obviously a big problem if this could strand me in PARK at any time.

Thoughts?

Thanks

Pat

PatG,

I think you need to find someone with an OBD II tester and see if you have any failure codes in the onboard computer.
