probably not very good....get it if you like in Florida, but if you need it for snow driving you better get the 4x4.

it would be like driving a Corvette or F150 win the snow....therear will slide around and good luck trying any hills.

I've never seen an actual SUV, that is body on frame vehicle, that was FWD. I know that RWD only is available in the states, in Canada we can only get the 4X4 version with an Auto.
As for how it will handle in snow, well thats a matter of if you put winter tires on it and how good of a driver you are. With the proper tires and driver it would do just fine in snow. Both of the service trucks ('93 Toyota pick up and an '01 Dodge 2500) at our shop are RWD, every winter they get snow tires put on and they do quite fine.

All the pickup trucks at my husband's work (he does sheet metal construction) are all RWD. And mind you we live in Wisconsin. No one's had any problems yet.

Manny, where do you live?

A good set of four snow tires and some good snow driving skills should be able to get you anywhere you want to go, as long as you aren't scaling mountains in the snow. Use the money you save on the 4x4 to buy some nice tires. You'll benefit by saving fuel when there isn't snow on the ground as well.

If you're the type of person that will only use the 4 wheel drive a few times in the winter when there is a snowstorm, it might not be very easy to justify it. 2 wheel drive would suit you just fine.

Seriously, really? A FWD truck? 4Runners are real trucks, not pretenders like a Honda...
