I replaced the dash tweeters with aftermarket Infinity Kappas. Once you get in there to peek, you'll see there's a great deal of bottom depth for mounting space. In fact, The Kappas come with a crossover, I was able to acnhor that in the bottom of the dash hole first and then mount my tweeter.
Your only issue will be with moutning adapters/brackets for aftermarket speakers. There is nothing available for this; therefore, you'll have to make your own. Not that difficult. I have a DIY pic spread on what I did if you're interested.
