Question 2000 Sienna Instrument Cluster Lights

Does anyone know how to replace the instrument cluster lights on a 2000 Sienna? I know the large black plastic trim around the cluster guages needs to be removed, but I can't seem to figure out how it comes out. Thanks.

Hello there, we had the same problem when our bulb when out. About two years passed and finally I just decided to give it a try and open it by myself. There are actually only three screws that you must remove. On is under the the dash on the drivers side, below the thing were the air comes out. The other two can be found by removing the panel where the cd player is. Next if you look under the section you will find the other two each. I dont know if you understand that..... Just put a light on top of youre cd player after you remove it. Anyways here is the sort of trick and scary part. You have to pull the dash out by the bottom, it is a little difficult because there are two sort of arms that reach out under the AC controls. Once you are able to pull that u simply just start pull out the dash by the sides....... give it a couple tugs. After that i would suggest disconnecting all the cables (clock, emergency lights, fog light, and pop out the light control)
Once that is off move youre steering wheel down and tilt the dash down to get it out to the way.
The intrument cluster is held by two or four screw I think (I think 2)
Once there off flip the cluster and find the bulb.
The bulb i used was a 194 if or just pop out one of the bulbs that turn on when you open the door.. ( they are both the same )

Thats basically how u do it
Sorry i have no camera for picks
The first time i did i it took me about 35 minutes
Now for the ac controls the light bulb needed is #2721
The big bulb for the speedometer is #194

Just do it yourself it will save you money. Let me know how it goes or if you have question.

GOOD LUCK

instrument panel light replcement 99 sienna

I could use some help here too. Just tried removing my 99 sienna dash to replace a bad bulb near the fuel gage, but am stuck in the area just above the radio. Sounds like I need to remove the radio to access the two screws behind it that hold the dah in place. Any tips on removing the cassette/radio combo that is factory installed? Any help appreciated.

Once you pull out the cover for the radio look under it, the screws are facing up. You don't need to remove the radio. Shine a light upwards and you should see two screw. Hope it helps.

Yes, I found the two screws behind the radio and that did the trick. Those two screws lock in place the two legs of the large panel. I was able to remove the large front panel and replaced the burnt out lights. Thanks for your help.
