Van Won't Start 2001 HELP!

When I try to turn the car on, it makes this high pitched crecking noise. The battery light is on, so I thought maybe it was dead. ??

Also, the ABS light is on....I don't think that has anything to do with it not starting....right ? I know too little about cars.

Does anyone know what I should do? I'm only 17 and I'm stranded because my mom took our other car to work. I need to go to a class at 12. Obv. I'm not getting there anytime soon. But still, it'd be nice to know if I can get my boyfriend over here to jump start it or not.

Try getting the van jump started and if that works I bet you have a drained battery. Do you know how long the current battery has been used in the van? If it's been over 4 years then it's time for a new battery. Get it jumpstarted and head over to an autoparts store and get a new battery.
