OK, with gas prices being the way they are I am looking for a mini-van with good MPG for my growing family. I just saw a '99 Toyota Sienna CE for sale. When I poped the hood I saw a 4 cyl. engine. But if i go on edmunds.com they state that ALL Siennas came with was a 3.0L V6???? I want to know if this is a mis print by edmunds? What kind on MPG did these vans get? What trim level wa sthe 4avliable up! too? Edmunds states the 3.0 v6 powered models on get 23 MPG highway. I hope the four is much better than that!
Were any Siennas avliable in manual transmission like the Previa's?

That is what I thought but unless this Sienna had a engine swap it has a inline four cyl. engine looks like a 2.2 liter out of a Camry!

there has never been a 4 cyl sienna
the old toyota VAN and previa came with 4cyl engines, but all siennas have been powered by V6 engines (1mz-fe 3.0L, 3mz-fe 3.3L, 2gr-fe 3.5L)
it could be someone's "creative" swap, or youre just looking at the engine wrong, as the 1mz-fe is a strange looking engine due to the fact that the rear bank of the engine is pushed so far towards the firewall and hidden by a cover so you only see the front bank of the engine....
either way, throw up some pics of this strange animal.

I did think I counted four spark plug wires. However I only looked for a minute maybe it is a 1mz-fe.

Why walk away, if done right. A 4cyl. Sienna should have been made in the lower trim lines anyway. I know I would have to do all service on it myself.
