2002 Sienna emissions problem

I've got a 2002 Sienna that recently failed emissions test. The middle catalytic converter was replaced but the catalyst monitor still has not recognized. What can be done about this? It will not pass emissions without the monitor run. It's been a full weeks since the catalytic converter has been replaced and the van has been driven over 500 miles. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
