Hi, new to this forum. My 2003 was stalling more than usual (the aic valve is dirty) then it threw code PO717. The local Autozone read it and said it's probably the output speed sensor on the trans. Other possibilities were possible toasted trans. Transmission seemed fine when checked a couple months ago. Would the ouyput speed sensor cause more stalling? Any help would appreciated. Thanks.

I cleaned the throttle bodies and iac valve. The van now idles properly. The check engine light went off. My transmission tech friend said this code will be sent if vehicle is experiencing idle problems such as mine and I have no need for any parts. I lucked out on this one.
