How to remove wiper arm cap?

Need to remove the wiper arm cap to remove a wiper arm.

Tried changing the rear plugs by feel and it just didn't work, so the cowl comes off for access. Big thanks for the fellow who posted the pictures on how to do it - Wiswind.

I tried prying the cap straight up, very gently, and it didn't budge. I know it's a stupid question, but can I have detailed instruction for removing it without self destructing it - as I've done with other clips etc.

The weatherstripping and the center button pushpin clip on either side came right off. I think it'll be easy once I get the darned caps off.

Mine have been off several times now and one is lost. It fell down inside the engine bay and I hoped it would show up later but no luck. I think I just pull them off with my hands. Either way they just pop off. There is a 12mm nut underneath. Then wiggle the arm and it too will pop off. It has splines that can grip it a little sometimes.

Then on the passenger side there is a big air vent tube that has three or four 10mm bolts to take off. On the driver side there is a plug that runs the wipers. Leave the wiper motors and all of that alone it will all just lift out. There might be a drain hose on each side. Once you do this you'll realize that it was so easy that you wished you did it sooner.
