ABS light on Sienna

Hey,
the ABS light has come on in my 2000 Sienna. Does this mean that my ABS system is fried?

The nice man at the Toyo Dealer said that with a $1000 new part (plus installation) he can make that little light go off.

Any suggestions?

Having the sienna here I thought I may comment on another issue with the vehicle. I also have a 2000 toyota sienna and recently the passenger side window is having some problems. It does not want to fully close after it has been opened. It opens like any other window but when closing it it only moves 2 inches till it slowly comes to a dead halt. then I try again after 5 mins and moves 1 inch. I have to take like 5 mins + until I can try to close the window again until it is completely closed. It takes forever to close the darn window. I was wondering if there is anything I can do without going to a dealer and/or if there is a way to get it fix at a toyota dealer without paying much(and the only way for that to happen if you know someone who works there)? Any suggestions would be good.

Warranty?! Warranties are only for things that don't break!

The nice man at the dealer was quick to point out that the ABS system is not under warranty seeing as how the XLE has 50K+ miles on it

As far as the power window goes...I have experienced that problem on another vehicle (GMC). It's the cutoff switch in the power window motor telling you it's going to the grave. Take my advice...have it fixed at your local auto glass repair shop (not the dealer) and do it before the next rainstorm. Nothing stinks more than wet seats.....
