Broken ignition switch or disconnected wire.

How'd you test the starter and relay, and did you check the battery with a load?

Thanks. Is there a way of testing the ignition switch to see if its good? We took the starter and relay to O'Reilly and they tested them for us. Battery has not been tested with a load but all lights and radio work when key is turned. It is fairly new.
Thanks for your help, been unable to drive to a week.

Is your van one with a radio key? Perhaps there is something wrong with that system. If it's one of the newer style large keys it has a radio chip thing in it.

Try Jump Starting It. When you put your negative cable on, find a ground somewhere on the engine not on the battery. See if it starts

Wait, how did you take the starter and relay to be tested? You took out of the car? Also, just because there is lights doesn't mean the battery isn't bad.

Also makes me think of the Neutral Interlock on the transmission; if you aren't in either Park or Neutral, the starter won't engage (which if found useful on an older stick-shift once, to move a few inches, but now must be a no-no.)

It's embarrassing when you realize that's what it was, but better than $$$ repairs!
