Axle Shaft replace?Stealership "inner CV boots cracked, front and rear engine mounts"
Wife dropped it off for the spare tire recall repair. The stealership calls with their list of recommended repairs.
Inner CV boots are cracked. I check them every oil change so this must be really recent, or they aren't, or they got some help.
Contemplating just replacing the axle shaft assemblies myself. How tough is this on a 2000 Sienna with 215,000 miles (mostly in the desert SW)? Or dissamble and do just the boots? More work, but less money.
Engine mounts fromt and rear? Totally symptom free, and I've broken more than a few in my day. Does this really need doing, or is it a nice to have repair, or should I just do it since I'm knee deep with the axle shafts?
I'm off for a nice long run, looking forward to many insightful responses when I get back!
Thanks in adavance!
Matt
