Question Cost to Replace ABS sensor by Yourself?

A dealership told me one of my rear wheel's ABS sensors isn't working and to replace it would be like $600 ($430 or so for part(s), and the rest labor). Seems way too high. How much would it cost if I do this on my own and what part number(s) do I need to buy? Would a regular jack(s) work fine for accessing the ABS sensor? I also want to try cleaning the electrical contacts with contact cleaner to see if that helps.

You can get an aftermarket brand for about 1/3 that price. It's the bearing assembly and is held on with four bolts. The ABS sensor is part of it. The wheel fastens to it.

Try cleaning the contacts and look for a loose connection first.

You can always hit a scrapper if you want the Toyota part for less.
