EVAP small leak, Purge and Vent 2003 Sienna
Have a transiant EVAP code causing the SMOG not to pass.
After code reset, 4 days later the MIL codes pops up. Have replaced the 2 short hoses to the EVAP/Purge SVS (looked old, but no cracked seen). Codes returned 4 days later.
Replaced with fuel hose instead of vac line. Used scanner to send EVAP test while on highway and at stops while engine was hot. No codes even after 10 tests.
Tried vacuum test on the VSV at the air filter. Vacuum held. The two VSV's in the engine compartment seems okay. Held air blowing (3 psi) and activated with voltage. Vac holds on VSV on one port only. The canister VSV seem to be okay (held vacuum and activated with voltage).
Will try cold EVAP test, but running out of test and need to pass the CA SMOG soon. Will try clamping off air inlet at the canister and vacuum testing at the engine manifold VSV.
Any easy test to find the small leak?
